(from the Grapevine Independent)

The Franchise Tax Board got eco friendly this week, hosting its third Green Fair. Approximately 30 vendors answered questions, provided demonstrations, statistics, samples and some hearty words of encouragement to the 2,000 FTB employees during the fair.

Several booths featured vanpool, mass transit, carpool and bike-to-work information as well as Spare The Air Day information.

FTB employees even have an in-house bicycle group called BUG: Bicycle Users Group. The BUG group participates in May's Bike To Work month, last year racking up over 40,000 collective miles said Dave Castle, an IT manager at FTB and active BUG member.
