City staff leads community through visioning process in Folsom

Regional Sanitation crews remove the shoring frame from the trench where the new interceptor is being installed along Folsom Blvd.

Folsom crafting vision

With one round of public meetings behind them, City of Folsom officials have announced two new workshops for September in which the public can provide input on plans for "south of 50" land within Folsom's Sphere of Influence. For details on these new workshops, visit here.

The area being considered consists of 3,585-acres.

The visioning process will consider a wide variety of issues including land use, fair-share housing, transportation, revenue neutrality, Smart Growth, natural resource conservation, air quality and scenic corridor preservation.

Best Workplaces

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is again searching for the "Best Workplaces for Commuters(BWC)" in the Sacramento Region. This program offers the BWC designation to employers who encourage behavior leading to trip reduction and improved air quality in the region. This designation is an honor and can be used by these employers in their own employee recruiting, marketing, and public information materials. To learn more, or to apply, check out www.bwc.gov.
