| They're making a list (and checking it twice?)
Caltrans wants to know what you think about the condition of state highways. You can weigh in by completing an on-line survey here. The poll has 35 questions and takes about 15 minutes to complete.
"The purpose of this survey is to give us an idea what Californians think of the job we are doing in the area of maintenance and to help us identify areas for improvement," said Caltrans Director Will Kempton.
The survey period runs through January 5.
Traffic in Historic Folsom should be merrier now
New traffic circulation measures have been implemented in Folsom's Historic District along Sutter Street. The new measures improve circulation within the Sutter Street area and encourage shoppers to stay out of residential streets. In addition to some new left-hand turns, shoppers will find some additional parking spaces just in time for the holiday season.
New residential development announced for 50 Corridor
GenCorp has announced plans to double the size of its Easton project from 1,400 acres to 3,050 acres. Officials have not yet released how many homes would be built in the area but noted that the development would take full advantage of the new light rail station at Hazel Avenue. They describe the project as a "unique, high value, high density urban hub."
