Take RT to the State Fair

California State Fair-goers can save money and add convenience by riding a Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) bus to Cal Expo. Not only will passengers avoid parking fees; they will receive curb service to the main gate every 15 minutes.

RT will offer this service during the fair (through September 6) on Routes 67 and 68, which connect Florin Mall with Arden Fair Mall. The 67 and 68 buses will deviate from their normal routes to drop passengers at the fair's main gate. Both buses also stop at the 29th Street light rail station, allowing fair goers to park (free) at light rail park-and-ride stations and transfer to the bus at 29th Street.

Weekday buses run 15-minute intervals from 5:35 a.m. to 7:35 p.m. Weekend and Labor Day buses run 15-minute intervals from 10:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Evening buses run at 30-minute intervals and the last bus leaves Cal Expo to the 29th Street light rail station at 11:20 p.m. every night.

In addition, on weekends and Labor Day, RT will provide special bus service from the Arden/Del Paso light rail station to the Main Gate loop every 15 minutes. Route 12 also provides hourly bus service on weekdays from the Arden/Del Paso light rail station to a bus stop on Exposition Boulevard at Cal Expo via Arden Fair Mall - just a short walk to the Main Gate.
