$$$ for New Vanpools
High fuel costs cutting into your budget? Let the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) help with your commute costs. SACOG will help you set up a vanpool and then subsidize the monthly cost of the vanpool to the tune of $300 for six consecutive months. After six consecutive months of operation, a $200 gas card bonus will be mailed directly to the primary driver by SACOG. For more information, visit here.
South of 50 back to Council
On July 13 the Folsom City Council introduced and conducted the first reading of a proposed ballot measure regarding the undeveloped land South of Highway 50. The ballot measure contains an amendment to the City Charter that will set policies for any development in the City's Sphere of Influence area South of Highway 50 between Prairie City Road, White Rock Road and the El Dorado County line.
Local residents and other interested parties may provide comments at the second reading of the proposed amendment during the July 27 City Council meeting.
At that time, Council members may choose to adopt the ordinance that places the proposed amendment before local voters at the November 2 general election. Council meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 50 Natoma St. |
